honestly, all it takes is practice. for me it was extremely difficult, but give it a few minutes or so every day of practice and i promise you’ll get barre chords down. i learned them in a week..

Try bending your wrist backwards. It’s very natural for me because I play a lot of one-finger power chords… You want to push your forearm out as much as possible, then bend your wrist backwards as much as you can. Hope that helps. (If you notice this)

Try starting with the 5-string chords at first. Experiment with different thumb placement. Practice down around the 5th fret or lower , it will be somewhat easier in the middle of the neck. My teacher always taught me to lock my left elbow tight into my side before grabbing a barre-chord. You might try that as well. Like all guitar…practice, practice, practice.. YOU WILL GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
