Go to http://yourguitarsage.com/ to find out how to get a chart to this song and 100s other songs!!! This guitar lesson vid shows you how to play Island In The Sun, by Weezer. It shows you the chords, strumming technique and style. Check out http://yourguitarsage.com/ for info on my online instructional resources about charts, chords, strumming and the techniques that I use here in my videos.. For more guitar lessons, see my other free tutorials. For original and cover music by me, Erich, go to http://www.myspace.com/erichandreas . Other videos cover beginner, advanced and intermediate levels. I teach rock, blues, country and just about any other style on electric or acoustic. If you can’t find your answer from the resources at the website above, keep digging into my vids, and I’m sure you will find your answer. Keep practicing!!!

    @soundsleep1 I …
    @soundsleep1 I would recommend nylon. They give a warmer/folky sound in contrast to steels more prominent sound. Nylon is great for classical, while steel is better for most rock-type.
    Also, I feel that nylon is easier on the fingers, but I have heard people say otherwise so it’s just a matter of personal preference.

    As a beginner would you recommend nylon strings instead of steel? For some reason its hard to get certain chords to sound right without “buzzing”.IDK. love the vids by the way thanks for putting them up!

    No problem madwill. A lot of folks out there don’t know how to play bar chords, so I try to make the songs easier so a lot of people can play them. But I like bar chords and play them too.

    i like most of your …
    i like most of your vids, but i’ve noticed almost every single song you teach, you ignore barre chords, and just do g, am, c, d, and em, and just use capo. i’m pretty sure all songs aren’t those chords.

    this song sounds much better using barre chords around the 7th and 5th.

    i don’t wanna sound like a dick though….thanks for the tutorials.
