I Want You Back (J5) Guitar Chords
For anyone who was wondering how to play this song on guitar – here’s a passable version (in a different key than the record, I think). More like Graham Parker’s than the Jackson Five’s. I think I misspoke about staying on each chord longer for the chorus. Just ignore that.
(1/27/10; if I could go back in time and tune that guitar, I would! I miss that old tele, Sold it a couple of years ago to a guy in France.)

4 Chords, 19 Songs on Guitar
I give an example of some of the many songs that can be played using the same four chords in the same order.
Watch my guitar lesson to learn how to play these four chords: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmChNlDknbM
Watch my other video, “4 Chords, 21 Songs on Guitar” to see me play 21 different songs with these four chords: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pzkilz940dw
*Note: A few things may be confusing for those of you who watch my instructional video and try to play these songs, so I will try to ease your confusion.
1) In the instructional video I teach the chords G,D,Em,C, whereas in this video I play C,G,Am,F and use a capo. The songs can be played with either set of chords, but will be in a different key, depending on which you use.
2) The order of the chords after “Take On Me” switches from C,G,Am,F (G,D,Em,C) to Am,F,C,G (Em,C,G,D). It is the same order of chords, but I start with the minor chord for the last few songs.
3) Not all of these songs use ONLY these four chords in this order, so I may just be playing a section of the song that does.
The songs I play in order are:
James Blunt – You’re Beautiful
Five for Fighting – Superman (It’s Not Easy)
Jason Mraz – I’m Yours
Fort Minor – Where’d You Go
Maroon 5 – She Will Be Loved
Alicia Keys – No One
Black Eyed Peas – Where is the Love?
Rex Hermogino – Love on the Internet
Mika – Happy Ending
Beatles – Let It Be
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Under the Bridge
Michael Jackson – Man in the Mirror
a-ha – Take On Me
T.I. – Whatever You Like
OneRepublic – Apologize
Outlandish – Aicha
Toto – Africa
Eagle Eye Cherry – Save Tonight
Beyonce – If I Were a Boy

What are the 4 flat symbols for at the start of guitar sheet music?
I know the 1st one is B Flat, what are the other 3 in order?
Thanks =)
It signifies that you’re in the key of Ab. The flat notes are Ab Bb Db Eb. More importantly, each time the sheet music shows a note on one of those lines, you’ll play it as a flat.
Do you know the memory tool for the lines of the musical staff? Counting up from the bottom, the lines are Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge. (EGBDF) The spaces simply spell FACE which rhymes with space. Every time a line or space has a flat or sharp in the key signature, you play all the corresponding notes on that line (or space) flat or sharp.
