I’ve been to www.musicnotes.com, which sells downloadable sheet music, but the only free service they offer is a preview (generally the first 8 measures or so). I was wondering if anyone knows of websites that offer these, and other artists’, sheet music for free.

My Brother is a really talented classical guitarist, that said he needs a kick up the arse/ass.. Youtube is promoting an opportunity to play in a symphony in a ‘never before done’ type deal..

There is no guitar part. Guitar is not usually part of an orchestra and while this piece makes use of some unusual instruments in the percussion section there is still no guitar. Poor thinking on the part of Mr. Tan Dun. Good idea really terrible music (IMHO)

You should check out a program called Guitar Pro. It shows you guitar tablature and the piano music sheet on top of each other. You can download tabs made by users to it and you can also make your own. Sites such as http://www.gprotab.net/ offer many tabs (some are more accurate than others.) You can find the (demo) version of Guitar Pro at guitar-pro.com.

I am wanting to go into my high school as a jazz guitarist. I haven’t been playing long so a little inexperienced. I am wondering if anyone knows that the guitar sheet music has tabs below the regular music with the treble clef. Do they have tabs?

When learning jazz, you will have to learn Tritone substitution. If you don’t understand Tritone substitution you will not understand jazz sheet notes in any form. So yes there are tabs, but it’s just half the story. It’ll be vague and if you hear people playing that sheet music you would probably think they were all playing it wrong although they all kind of sound alike.

I need a solo perform in my orchestra class and I need good free sheet music songs to perform for the string bass? Do you know a site where i can get some?
